Mission Statement

Sara ChanaI empower women and teach them to take charge of their health. For thousands of years, women were in charge of their own and their children’s health, using herbs and natural remedies for generations to comfort and heal their families. I help guide women of today—from adolescence through menopause—toward discovering which natural remedies work best for themselves and their families.

In my office we never negate the wonderful diagnostic tools and modern medications that are available today, but we learn how to integrate current medical care with the wise woman herbal medicine of the past. Women today want to regain the knowledge of these wise women and learn how to treat their own families and to partner with their doctors in their medical decisions.

Every woman that walks into my office sits on my couch with a pen and paper in hand and a big smile on her face, enthusiastic to gain knowledge of simple remedies. They love to learn that they can use their cinnamon to help with stomach aches, green clay from the ground to help soothe bug bites, and potato poultices for breast infections. They want to help their young daughters with menstrual cramps and their aging mothers with hot flashes. They also want to help their husbands with heartburn and high cholesterol.

The goal of my practice is to teach woman about herbs, homeopathy, and foods available to them. I guide them on what books to read, websites to visit, and which products from health food stores are the best and safest to use.

After I help women deliver their babies, breastfeed pain free, and treat their babies' basic colds, woman feel strong, calm, empowered, in control, and happy. It’s really a wonderful thing to watch.
